Naturzone AG is taking over the distribution of the Grüezi bag brand in Switzerland with immediate effect. This places the successful development of the brand in the Swiss market into new hands for targeted continuation. The takeover takes place in close connection with the previous development work by Spovet AG under Michael Spörri, who brought Grüezi bag to Switzerland 10 years ago. Grüezi bag has since established itself in the Swiss outdoor market through innovative products and genuine sustainability. Naturzone AG will strategically develop the brand in the Swiss market. In Germany, Grüezi bag is already one of the leading providers and holds a top position in the sleeping bag segment.
Focus on Innovation: The DownWool® Material Mix
A key unique selling proposition of Grüezi bag is its specially developed material mix, DownWool®, made from 70% high-quality RDS down and 30% Alpine wool. This innovative insulation combines the advantages of down and wool, ensuring an optimal sleeping climate. DownWool® unites the excellent thermal performance and low weight of down with the temperature- and moisture-regulating properties of wool. The result is a filling that reliably insulates even in high humidity while simultaneously providing a pleasant, dry sleeping feeling and a significantly wider comfort temperature range.
The innovative power of this material is increasingly gaining attention beyond the Grüezi bag brand: DownWool® is now also used in selected products from other manufacturers, further emphasizing the relevance and quality of the patented technology.

Just in time for its 10th anniversary, Grüezi bag is presenting the next generation of its insulation success story in spring 2026. Grüezi bag DownWool® 2.0 offers yet another significant improvement in the warmth-to-weight ratio. Thanks to the optimized wool structure, the material mix now achieves the weight and pack size of classic down sleeping bags and jackets – without their weakness to moisture. As a result, DownWool is now also competitive in weight with pure down, meaning even gram-counters no longer have to forgo the advantages of DownWool insulation.
DownWool® 2.0 by Grüezi bag is produced in Regensburg, Bavaria, without the use of chemicals, and is a 100% natural insulation made from renewable raw materials.
